経糸30カウント、緯糸33カウントの太さのカディ(手紡ぎ)糸で織り上げた、しなやかなカディコットン。（カウントとは、1kgからとれるhank(糸束）数のこと。1hankで約1000m分の糸がとれます。数が大きければ糸は細く、小さければ太くなります。）「うっすらカディ」と比べるとやや厚みがあります。硬さやごわつきはなく、なめらかな柔らかさが特徴です。
多くのインド国内市場では、緯糸のみ手紡ぎのもの、あるいはヴィレッジミルと呼ばれる力織機で織られているものもカディとされることがありますが、CALICOのカディは原則「縦緯手紡ぎ（縦糸も緯糸も手紡ぎ）」です。

Shikkuri Khadi Cotton is woven with ambar charka yarn with a thickness of approximately 30 thread counts for the warp and approximately 33 thread counts for the weft. (The thread count is the number of hanks (thread bundle) that can be taken from 1 kg. 1 hank can take about 1000m of thread. The larger the number, the thinner the thread, and the smaller the count, the thicker the thread.)
Shikkuri Khadi Blue Border fabric has three blue thread lanes on each edge of the fabric. The blue thread in contrast with the uneven white handspun yarn gives it an interesting detail and pattern which can be a feature design element while making it into a product. It is a medium weight fabric that is firm in structure. It feels substantially strong as a fabric and gets better and softer after each wash. The fabric reveals the beauty of the uneven texture characteristic of a handspun and handwoven fabric. When you run through the fabric with your hand, you can feel the uneven yarns and knots of the connecting yarns. As compared to Shikkuri Khadi, Shikkuri Khadi Blue Border fluctuation of yarn is more distinctive therefore ismore textured. The selvedge and composition of the fabric is more uneven whichgives it more characteristic. The uneven yarns makes it more breathable and cooling.
Great for summer and winter clothing or homewares like coaster, table mat or for interior curtain too.
In many Indian domestic markets, Khadi fabric may be using only handspun weft or woven by a power loom called a village mill. But Calico Khadi is both handspun and handwoven.
